I worked in sports for 42yrs starting out as PE teacher but moving into sports management events and marketing. I have been to 5 Olympics and worked at 4. For 16yrs I worked in academia in the UK and at NYU in New York. I have written 6 books on sport and presented/guest lectured all around the world. I am retired now and live in North Yorkshire with my wife Emma we have three girls living in Leeds and Hull with one grandchild on the way. I have been offered a simple volunteer role at Glasgow26 20July-2Aug. I also have tickets for several events and Emma will join me for those three days. I love Glasgow and am very much looking forward to spending a worthwhile time at the Games this summer.
