The apartment is in the heart of the cultural and bohemian west end and is within walking distance of many of the city's main tourist attractions and a plethora of cafes, bars, delis and restaurants. All of the Commonwealth Games venues are within an easy commute, whilst some are within walking distance of the apartment.
The apartment spans the garden level of an end of terrace Victorian stone built villa, which is typical of the architecture in this part of the city. The apartment has been luxuriously designed and furnished to the highest standard and is truly a home from home. There is a private parking space and a small private garden. The apartment has two double sized bedrooms - one has a double bed and the other can be made up as either a king bed or two singles. The apartment is great for one to four people, but if you want to accommodate more, I can provide an air bed for the living room. Fresh bedding and towels are provided as standard. Please note that the nightly price outside of the Commonwealth Games period (21 July to 3 August 2014) is 105GBP for the first guest, with a modest 12GBP additional charge for every subsequent guest. This is to cover cleaning, laundry and utilities. During the Commonwealth Games, the nightly price is 210GBP for the whole apartment, i.e. no additional charges beyond the first guest. Everything in the apartment is brand new and having just been refurbished, it is freshly painted. Both the bedrooms and the living room have flat screen TVs and there is a blu-ray player in the living room. The kitchen is fully integrated and well stocked with everything you need for a whole range of cooking options. There is a wet room (no bath) with overhead rain shower and feature lighting.
Guests will have access to the whole apartment, private garden with bistro table & chairs and one private parking space adjacent to the apartment.

The G12 postcode marks one of the most desired residential locations in the city of Glasgow and the apartment is within walking distance of many of the city's main attractions. The Botanic Gardens are literally just around the corner. Byres Road with it's individual shops, galleries, restaurants and delis lies within 5 minutes walk. The apartment is in a conservation area and despite being close to all of the hustle and bustle, it is on a very quiet street with no through traffic. It is safe to walk around at any time of the day or night.
Access to the city centre and all of the Commonwealth Games venues is fast and frequent with Kelvinbridge underground station less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment (transit time of 6-8 minutes into the centre). From the city centre there are trains to destinations all over Scotland and the UK. There are also plenty of buses from Great Western Road which is at the end of the street. Glasgow Airport is a 20 minute drive away. Taxis are numerous and can be hailed easily from Great Western Road or the local taxi rank is less than 5 minutes walk away. Getting out of the city is easy with Loch Lomond only 30 minutes drive by car. Edinburgh is around 1 hour drive away and around 1 hour by underground and mainline train (great for Edinburgh Festival visitors).
